I was a bit offended by something he said to me while we were chatting. He said that a year from now, he'll have a career and a wife and won't have time for petty stuff like research. That affected me because I'm married and a student and I work, but I still see a value in research. He made it sound like I have no life since I care about such things. He also knows that I am a Forensic Science major and that's why scientific proof is so valuable to me. He basically said it was a waste of energy, faith is all that's needed. Oh well. .
Well talk about being able to dish it out and not take it. You can force things down my throat I'm obviously not interested in. You can insult me. Insinuate that I'm ignorant, dumb, and uneducated, yet when I make a comment that offends you, heaven forbid. Not only do you take offense, but you have to run back to your group and rat on me.

A moron with better things to do than sit around and try to act smarter than everybody else. Hate to burst your bubble people, but there are a lot of people that don't look at all the evidence from every side. I think I'll take SP's advice and stay out of these threads. I want to enjoy life for a change.

Another bad analogy. There is no evidence about purple zebras, and you're the first to mention this notion.
There is a Bible that has survived for many years, and lots of people who believe in its teachings. Can't say the same about your purple zebras.
Not to mention evidence like the Dead Sea Scrolls for one.
i cant think of any of their doctrines that could be supported if they didnt deliberately alter the scriptures.
even their teaching of god creating the earth is flawed when one considers what they believe about god.. of the top of my head i cant think of anything that i still believe that was taught me by the watchtower...can you?.

The other doctrine I still agree with (in addition to those mentioned above) is no triune God, at least not in the sense that the Son equals the Father equals the Holy Ghost (spirit). I will never see how the Word can "be" God and simultaneously "be with" God. God must just be beside himself!

I've done research on the traditional vs JW translation of John 1:1. It seems the common consenses among Greek scholars is that the traditional "the Word was God" is more accurate. I've seen this on two different websites.

Why I wouldn't want to believe? You mean why I don't want to, or why I don't believe?
Anyway, I don't believe in that faith because it's based off following the prophet Muhammed. Now, I could be wrong, but unlike Jesus, he was just an ordinary man. Why should I follow him?

Besides, if you admit that God can't be proven nor disproven, then how is one view superior? That's a contradiction.
